I thought this was amazing when I read it earlier today. The headline was innocuous enough, “5 Supreme Court Justices on White House guest list.” So I check it out, and of course it’s obvious what five justices got invited: Scalia, Alito, Roberts, Thomas, and Kennedy. Also known as the “pro-life” justices. (with the minor possible exception of Kennedy…)
The article seems to think that those five got invited because they’re all Roman Catholic, but clearly there’s a much bigger reason why their invitations got lost in the mail. Think about it: McCain, a Baptist, will be there. But Hillary and Obama won’t.
It’s not about religion, it’s because they’re liberals. And they don’t deserve to hang out with “Il Papa.”
I can just see Ginsburg et.al., grumbling, “Well we don’t want to hang out with that crazy Pope anyway!” I think it’s a good rule…you can’t hang out with the Pope if you’re part of the reason that more than a million unborn children are slaughtered by abortionists in America every year. Not to mention their tireless efforts to erase religion from American life, invent homosexual marriage, declare sodomy a Constitutional right, etcetera etcetera.
I mean, it’d just be awkward.
Unfortunately there’s an exception to every rule, and Ms. Pelosi will be allegedly attending. She better behave herself and say Grace with everyone else.
